How does Bakuchiol compare to Retinol? Bakuchiol is a wonderful alternative to Retinol for anyone with sensitive skin. Retinol alternatives like Bakuchiol work by supporting collagen production. Bakuchiol is much gentler than Retinol, so you are less likely to experience the side effects that are common with Retinol use (skin purging, flakiness, dryness, redness, sun sensitivity etc..)
