The Rise Of Skinimalism

Or as we’ve always called it, Minimalist Skincare.

Something wonderful has happened over the past year. Big beauty (formerly of the ten steps skincare club) has taken notice of the consumer’s desire for a simplified skincare routine. In fact, all of the biggest beauty magazines and blogs have just predicted “skinimalism” to be the biggest beauty trend of 2021. 30 product “shelfies” have given way to multi-purpose products. Complicated formulas are being replaced by products boasting less ingredients as a selling feature. Protecting the skin’s microbiome and natural barrier is now top of mind (perhaps as a response to the at home chemical peels, acids, over-exfoliation and all-around skin disruption that has been the trend for far too long).

We are always happy to be trendsetters. 😉 We just really hope that this new hashtag (#skinimalism) is more than a flash in the pan trend. Let’s face it, the beauty industry is notorious for relentlessly creating a new reason for us to buy more products. This season minimalist is “in”, but what will they come up with next to make sure we all keep spending? We hope as trends change; we can all remember the purpose of minimalist beauty. Skin health, consuming less, saving money, saving time and making space (space in our bathrooms and energetically for our spirits).

When we set out to create a line of minimalist skincare, we were inspired to create products that checked off the following boxes…

✅ Multi-purpose. Offering minimalist-leaning customers an effective option that would only require one or two products (with the results of a more complex routine).

✅ Waterless. For smaller packaging, longer lasting products and eliminating the need for preservatives.

✅ Preservative-Free. For the health of our skin’s delicate micro-flora.

✅ Microbiome Friendly. Products containing prebiotics and zero preservatives. Because our skin’s natural microflora is incredibly important for our largest organ’s optimal function.

✅ Eco-Conscious Packaging. Using glass, post-consumer recycled materials and compostable materials.

✅ Long Lasting. Really, the whole point is to consume less. Buying skincare less often saves packaging waste and emissions from shipping.

✅ Good Value. Our goal is to sell our Potions for the best possible price, in larger sizes than similar brands, and fully concentrated. So, you don’t have to purchase them as often.

We’ve always been committed to innovating skincare that fits these criteria and will continue to bring you the best #skinimalist self-care Potions long after the industry moves on to the next hot trend.

Raise ‘em up if you’re into minimalist beauty for the long haul!  🙌

Where has this been all my life! I am the epitome of minimalist when it comes to my skincare! I am so excited to try your products! Will be ordering the freedom serum for sure and probably the bibbidi spotibi boo. Also love that it’s Canadian made and with all natural ingredients:)

I love your “packaging”, glass bottles, jars that can be recyled and reused. I’ve never been a fan of fancy packaging, because as I’ve said more than once, I don’t put the packaging on my face. I would rather see the cost of most packaging go back into the product.
